Lab visits from the students of the Mu Nu chapter di IEEE-HKN at Politecnico di Torino
At the beginning of January 2024, we organized a very fruitful set of visits to the PhotoNext lab from the students of the Mu Nu chapter di IEEE-HKN at Politecnico di Torino. A nice "overview" of the event is available here and here.

Best Paper Award ad Photonics Global Conference (PGC 2023)
We are glad to announce that Giuseppe Rizzelli has receive the Best Paper Award at the recent Photonics Global Conference (PGC 2023) held in Stockholm, Sweden on August 21-23, 2023.
The paper is: "Analytical Performance Estimation Methods for Modern Optical Communications systems" by Giuseppe Rizzelli and Roberto Gaudino.

New funding for PRIN2022 project “SURENET” (Surveillance of the URban Environment exploiting deployed optical NETworks)
The Italy Research Ministry has published in May 2023 the result of the selection process for the PRIN2022 national research funds (link to the MIUR web page): we are very happy that our project proposal titled “SURENET” (Surveillance of the URban Environment exploiting deployed optical NETworks) was approved! We are eager to start working on it together with our colleagues at Politecnico di Milano!
EU projects ALLEGRO and EWOC: towards new paradigms for future agile optical fiber networks
Here in PhotoNext we are "getting into full steam" for the research activities on two new EU projects we are involved in:
